Piano Summer Workshop

Ages 9-17 July 27th - August 8th Lawrenceville, NJ

Piano Summer Workshop provides a community for students to immerse creatively in music as individuals and in groups. Our outstanding faculty and guest artists lead students through an innovative curriculum, including ensemble and solo performances, composition, workshops and lessons. We encourage students who play additional instruments to apply, and our diversely experienced faculty will assist students in their practice and musical growth.

    • Rehearse and perform classical and jazz piano works for piano ensembles
  • Compose and Create

    • Workshops in jazz improvisation, blues piano, and classical repertoire
  • Lessons
    • Receive personalized daily instruction on Steinway and Yamaha grand pianos
  • Music Theory
    • Exercises and application of music theory through rehearsal, composition, and class activities
  • Aural and Rhythmic Training
    • Develop general musicianship skills
  • Faculty and Student Concerts
    • Concerts featuring the faculty, guest artists, and students

Piano Summer Workshop accepts piano students from age 9-17, with 2 or more years experience in piano. No auditions are required. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of application form and tuition. An all-inclusive fee of $1650 covers classes, sheet music, t-shirt, lunch, and recreational activities. Early registration and sibling discounts are available.
